These calculators are ARM based and emulate the saturn processor used in ealier HP calculator models. However, one can run software on the ARM processor directly using a special library. A big advantage of this is that the gcc arm compiler can be used to develop programs. hpgcc (http://hpgcc.org) provides libraries specific for the HP calculators and a tool to convert binaries that are compiled by the gcc arm-elf compiler (included with hpgcc) into 'program strings' that can be executed using a special library called ARMTools (also included with hpgcc). So you will need to download and install hpgcc to compile this software, install the ARMTools library on your calculator. Compilation with 'make' will produce the file "cube.hp". When uploaded to the calculator, it can be executed usign the "PrRUN" command in the ARMTools library. The program shows a spinning cube. The spin axis can be adjusted using the arrow keys and the spin speed with "+" an "-". "x" and "/" bring the camera closer or further away from the cube. Bring the camera too close and the program will crash. Probably due to drawing outside the screen buffer. The lines aren't 'capped' when running outside the screen and I'm not sure whether the ggl library takes care of this. Comments are welcome. - Jaap Versteegh
